The decadent Bananas Foster Martini takes the enticing flavors of the classic dessert, and combines them into a divine adult cocktail! Sinfully good and unbelievably delicious, you’ll be hooked off the first sip!

The famous New Orleans Bananas Foster was invented in 1951 by Chef Paul Blangé at famed Brennan’s Restaurant in the French Quarter.

Inspiration for this martini comes from a drink at the renowned NOLA restaurant Tableau. Years ago, I had the pleasure of indulging on their decadent Foster Cocktail while relaxing on their beautiful balcony overlooking Jackson Square.

The drink was so delightful, I had to recreate it when I got home! Initially, I ran into problems finding the ingredients they used, so I crafted my own version! This is the original recipe for the Foster Cocktail at Tableau.

Capturing all the elements of the famous New Orleans dessert: flambé bananas, brown sugar, cinnamon, rum sauce, and vanilla ice cream and translating them into a spectacular Bananas Foster Martini! Cheers!
